A Chicago native, the big city on the shore of Lake Michigan is the perfect balance of stimulation and tranquility for this prolific artist. Cheri graduated from the University of Illinois and taught Art in the elementary schools. She conducts workshops for adults interested in learning to draw and paint with pastels. Saffro received Master Circle status in the International Association of Pastel Societies in 2018, is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, the Chicago Pastel Painters, and the Arizona Pastel Artists' Association. She has received numerous awards in local, national and international juried shows. Pastel is the ideal medium for this energetic artist who can draw and paint with fluidity and confidence, while creating work that connects with her audience.
